Rate all of Chelsea's signings under Todd Boehly and Clearlake
Hit or miss?
This was an article idea suggested to me by a community member here, so lets give this a go.
Obviously there will be a number of these where you will simply have to select ‘jury out’ on because they are still new players. Or maybe you’ve made your minds up on them already. I’ll be intrigued to see the responses to these!
I pondered adding another option that said ‘miss but good business’ for players we may have sold for good profit. But I decided against it because ultimately this market research is simply about who you think has been a good signing in terms of impact on the pitch alone. I will do a follow up article next week with some questions on the ones you vote miss being good business or not. And also, you’re rating these on how they have done at Chelsea, not since they left elsewhere. I will add other polls onto the next article asking whether you think players have done well since they’ve left, thus being a mistake to let them go.
Also, I’ll apologise now if I’ve missed any names here (it’s likely because we’ve signed so many players) or if the fees are a little off (it depends where you read it from, it differs). I’ve done my best and this has took ages!! Also, make your votes from what you have seen so far yet. So if a player hasn’t impressed you yet, vote miss. Use the jury out vote if you genuinely aren’t sure on them yet.
Enjoy…
TOTALS:
53 players
£1.5bn spent (not including loan fees)
Thanks for taking part! Results out Sunday, with follow up articles and questions early next week!
Simon Phillips

Find it interesting that many put Carney down as a miss. He never got the chance to hit the ground running for us after the injury and Frank leaving but he looked promising for us until he was pushed out the door.
Also don’t know why people are calling Veiga a miss, he was sold for a good amount of profit and the only reason he didn’t work out was because he was unhappy being played in a position he didn’t want to play.
Would be goof to have one for outgoings too and maybe have a good value/bad value option
