As the international break continues with our players out representing their respective countries, Stamford Bridge will host a very memorable game of football on the Saturday 9th September 2023, honouring former Chelsea player and manager, the legendary Mr Gianluca Vialli who tragically passed away battling cancer this year.

The Chelsea legends side managed by Champions league winner Roberto Di Matteo featuring players like John Terry, Petr Cech, Gianfranco Zola, Eidur Gudjohnsen among others will play the Bayern Munich legends side managed by Stefan Effenberg featuring Lucio, Thomas Helmer, Roy Makaay among others in a charity match where the split of the proceedings will support the work of The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust and The Chelsea Foundation.

Today, the Chelsea community will pick a full 22 man squad featuring some of the greatest names to play for Chelsea in the Premier League Era. The squad will be managed by the late Mr. Gianluca Vialli who led the club to 4 trophies in his time as player manager in the year 98/00 and the community will also pick one former Chelsea manager as his assistant in the dugout. The highest voted player in that position will be part of the starting 11 and the second highest voted player will be part of the bench. The starting formation will be a 4-3-3.
