Morning all,
Hope you’re having a good week so far as we near the end of it. As what comes with having American owners, the biggest news from our club often comes out in the middle of the night here in the UK. And this news was pretty big. It was announced by Chelsea that Clearlake will acquire the shares of Todd Boehly.
As part of the transition, Clearlake will also acquire Mark Walter’s shares and therefore acquire full control of the Club.
Chelsea says Hansjörg Wyss “will remain an important stakeholder and partner in the ownership group.”
Todd Boehly leaves his role as Chairman and Chelsea say they are “well-positioned” for the next phase of the club’s development. More on this in the Live Blog soon, and in some articles today!
We also got drawn against Liverpool in the fourth round of the League Cup last night, a tough away draw!
Chelsea are in action tomorrow night of course, a big game away to Brentford in the Premier League.
As well as the above that I have covered here, round up all your latest general Chelsea news from across the last 24 hours in the same place here. Covers all you need to know!
Cole Palmer responded to some claims Graeme Souness made about him this week, shutting it down as nonsense. Read all about what happened and how Palmer fired back here.
I also had two sourced articles out yesterday, was nice to be writing those again as we go through a short quiet period. One is a transfer article here around a situation Chelsea are closely watching. The other is about a conversation Xabi Alonso had with the father of one of his players during the summer here.
It will soon be the international break (uh oh), and we will soon be speaking about Chelsea returning from it, with hopefully Moises Caicedo in tow. This here is the starting Xl I want to see after the break. See if you agree!
See you all on the next Live Blog from around 8.45am today on the home page!
Peace, Si.
Am I right in thinking that Pedro has been left out of the Brazilian squad because of injury. If he or Caicedo don’t play against Brentford I will certainly be worried about the outcome.
