Loan Army 24/25: Roundup
Lets see how our loan army are getting on.....
Good Afternoon Ladies and Gents,
The Loan Army is growing slowly and surely, we have another Penalty Saving Hero this week…..
Teddy Sharman-Lowe (Doncaster Rovers) - Teddy’s Doncaster lost 3-1 to Newport at the weekend, he made 2 saves in the game but obviously conceded 3 goals, he’s had a decent start to his time in Yorkshire, this one was an afternoon to forget for the club as a whole. He seems to have nailed down the No1 spot currently.
Ted Curd (Hampton & Richmond) - Ted got his first clean sheet of the season in Tuesday nights away fixture v Maidstone. At the weekend his side drew 1-1 with Chelmsford City which from what I have heard he made some brilliant saves and looked really assured on the ball. Quick note, I am from Chelmsford and a few family friends go and watch the local side so I asked them to do a little scouting for me.
Eddie Beach (Crawley Town) - Eddie made his debut for Crawley Town in the EFL Trophy, whilst also making his professional debut after loan stints in non-league. He capped off a 2-2 draw with an excellent penalty shoot out save which ultimately won the tie for Crawley v Brighton U21s
Gaga Slonina (Barnsley) - Gaga was man of the match in Barnsley’s away trip to Lincoln which ended in a 2-1 win for Gaga’s team, he made 9 saves in that game and has firmly nailed down the no1 jersey for Barnsley. He was rested in the EFL Trophy midweek. Gaga faces Alfie Gilchrist in the Carabao Cup next Tuesday in a Yorkshire derby and then faces Eddie Beach and Crawley the following Saturday.
Alfie Gilchrist (Sheffield United) - 78 minutes for Alfie in Sheffield United’s 2-2 draw with QPR at the weekend, he had a match rating of 7/10 and from what I have read and seen it was another solid performance, nothing extraordinary but everything done the right way by Alfie, solid start to his time in the Championship.
Dylan Williams (Burton Albion) - Dylan started on the bench against Mansfield last weekend after consecutive 90 minutes, he came on and played 31 minutes, his side were 2-1 down when he entered the action and only ended up drawing through 97th minute equaliser by Mansfield. He started and played the full 90 in midweek v Leicester U21s, where he secured an assist and man of the match for his performance.
Aaron Anselmino (Boca Juniors) - After months on the sideline Aaron Anselmino returned to the Boca Juniors squad last week, started and played the full 90 in their fixture v San Lorenzo. the centre half walked away from that game with 2 assists and the man of the match award. He didn’t feature in the game 4 days later, I assume they are slowly entering him back into the action.
Caleb Wiley (RC Strasbourg) - Caleb Wiley played 93 minutes for Strasbourg last weekend v Montpellier, he played an attacking wing back/winger hybrid role. Put some good deliveries into the box and made some attacking runs. He was okay defensively but did leaves gap behind him, something that should come with adjustment to a new style. He was subbed with 2 minutes of added time remaining.
Andrey Santos (RC Strasbourg) - Andrey was suspended for the first game of the season due to an accumulation of yellow cards last season.
Bashir Humphreys (Burnley) - Bash joined Burnley this week on a loan with an option to buy for 12.5m next summer.
Lesley Ugochukwu (Southampton) - Lesley joined Southampton on a season long loan this week and is in contention to make his debut this weekend at home to Nottingham Forest.
Armando Broja (Ipswich Town) - This is a transfer that hasn’t been officially announced yet but seems like it will any moment now.
Would people like to see the addition of Kendry Paez and Estevao willian into this article?
Thanks for reading
Luke Rushbrook

Yes Kendry and Estevao would be great. It probably doesn’t make sense to include Bashir since it’s a loan with obligation to buy.
Please add Kendry and EW
