Chelsea have just re-lived the 2022/23 season & that's disgusting, 17 players need SELLING right now, Enzo Fernandez book value makes his sale realistic, Xabi Alonso still gives me some faith, More...
The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Tuesday 26th May 2026!
Morning all,
Hope you’ve had a good start to the week, and those who were lucky enough to have the bank holiday weekend off in the UK, hope it was a good one and you managed to enjoy the sunshine whilst also keeping cool! Lovely in the day right? Awful at night! It’s probably too hot…. 😅
Starting on Enzo Fernandez again for this round of reporting, because his story is THE big story of the moment right now. Like I’ve reported, I’m pretty sure he goes this summer, but there’s talk of his book value now. What is his book value, and will clubs pay it? Also, who replaces him? Find out all of that in here.
Next up, round up all of your latest general Chelsea news from across the last 24 hours in the same place here. Your Blues News Report as I didn’t have the live blog running yesterday. News in this of an interesting exclusive transfer news story out from us later today… It’ involves NEW transfer targets 👀
As I’ve said before recently, there aren’t many Chelsea players I would not sell right now. I listed them here and in fact, there’s a whole bunch I’d let go! Pure madness.
A bit of a season review next, sort of. I’ve basically looked back at the 2022/23 season for this one here, and we have just re-lived that season again basically. Some very concerning same situations we are still in three years later, it’s not cool.
I did have one positive article too, because I do have some Xabi Alonso hopium still. I have some faith. I explain all that in here.
See you all on the next live blog from around 8.45am today on the home page!
Peace, Si.

I’ve got to the stage where I think anything this board does such as appointing Xabi will be corrupted and turn to dust. I still struggle to understand the actual governance of the club with respect to board and football directors and who holds responsibility for decisions. You can not continually hire and fire coach/manager roles and not realise some of football directors are culpable for bad decisions and for not understanding the limits of their supposedly data led approach. If the Xabi term of management fails, I fear the future of the club as a Premier League club will finish under a tsunami wave of debt interest payments and relegation.
The club is like a bloody broken record and I still have very little confidence that’s going to change. All the same people are in charge. I wonder if anyone read the admission from the Spurs hierarchy that football wasn’t at the top of their list in terms of importance and it certainly showed. It feels like we are on the same trajectory. Alonso isn’t a miracle worker and without the right conditions he won’t succeed.
