Wolves 3 Chelsea 4, Fan View: Club's failure to buy GK & CB is embarrassing, Why modern football has become bland to me, Majority of community wants Enzo Maresca here until EOS at least, Much more...
The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Thursday 30th October 2025!
Morning all,
Chelsea played Wolves last night in the fourth round of the League Cup (I refuse to call it an energy drink cup).
Unfortunately, my way of watching the game was playing up - so it was difficult for me to really review this one. I have done my best here, however, and put out the videos of the goals and some other reactions from Chelsea fans. I think it’s a pretty interesting ‘review’ all the same.
Time for my dinosaur football opinion now. You know what? It’s not even a dinosaur opinion, because I’ve seen many others, way younger than me, say similar or the same recently. Football for me is just becoming more and more bland and less entertaining. There are many reasons for this in my opinion, and I explain them all here.
We have The Score back for his THIRD article for us in one week. So thank you to him for that. This is a good one and probably my favourite one he’s written this week. Score is taking no prisoners here with his view on the failure to buy a new goalkeeper and a new centre back in the summer window.
Thoughts on Enzo Maresca then? I asked your stance on him earlier this week across a set of polls. I have the results in here, and the majority want to at least give him until the end of the season. We have a different opinion than the majority coming from two of our SPTC community guys coming out on our next Podcast later today so do make sure you tune in for that!
As always, you can round up all of your latest general Chelsea news from across the last 24 hours in the same place here. Covers all you need to know.
See you all on the next live blog from around 8.45am today!
Peace, Si.

very much a game of two halves, Chelsea in control of the first half, Wolves mid block ineffectual. 2nd half, Wolves score and Chelsea yet again panic, team shape and passing falls apart, substitutions for more senior players that should have re-established control failed. In game management by the players on the field is sadly lacking.
