Morning all,

Good news is it’s the weekend again, bad news is Chelsea have to go to Everton on Sunday and attempt to try and get a result there now!

We got Luke Rushbrook on the preview for Everton today. To be honest, neither of us wanted to write or speak about Chelsea today, but needs must, and we do have another fixture now to focus on. Luke previews it all here.

I do have some long deep dives for you today though instead, and also, a new analyst added to the team here at SPTC!

Let’s welcome Seun (@SeunMobolaji) to the team here at SPTC. Many of you will be familiar with his work on X - his match review threads and analysis are superb. And now we will be bringing them to you guys first after every game.

We also had a contribution article from a community member on here called Lewis. Lewis is a Trainee Lawyer and has written a fully detailed article on the FFP allegations against Chelsea and what it actually all means. I strongly recommend taking the time to read this one, it helped me a lot get more of an understanding of exactly what we are facing. Check that out here.

Finally, two heartfelt articles from me now. These two are just really saying it how it is and saying how I feel.

The first one here is on why we should not even be thinking about sacking another manager right now, despite Mauricio Pochettino being far from perfect.

Right, I really need this little ‘break’ now after Wednesday. I’ll be back on the site on Sunday for the game of course.
