Score I totally agree with your bullet point actions and as always enjoy your articles.
Outside of Manchester City is been some time since Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United and anyone else has had the dominance that I think you are seeking. If I’ve misread this then I apologise.
With the competitiveness that exists within the Premier League and the Champions League isn’t it realistic that success would be top 4 every year, win a few cups, have some good European runs, have the odd title challenge, maybe even slide through and win it once, maybe twice as you described above. I think it’s unlikely we are going to see CFC dominate in the way we did under Roman in his first 10 to 15 years. The rules have changed so it’s hard for that to be achieved and secondly we don’t have the revenue that’s required from our stadium and until that’s rebuilt to provide 60,000+ it’s gonna be tough. Just a thought from me.
Billy, I think you are so right to highlight this. A lot of us forget that the deterioration of the team started well before the new owners. That’s not to say they have not made mistakes as we all know they have, but they also took over quite a big shit show to some state.
"I really believe we’re really well set up for the medium to long term for sustained success, as much if not more than any team in the PL. We just need a few more pieces in the jigsaw, and some more time and development, and we’ll get where we want to be"

This is how we've fared in the league since we last won it under the old ownership...
17/18 – 5th – 30 points off top
18/19 – 3rd - 26 points off top
19/20 – 4th - 33 points off top
20/21 – 4th – 19 points off top
21/22 – 3rd – 19 points of top
We were a cup team well before these owners come in & there was never a protest before. Marina & Romans model wasn't working either.

The last starting lineup under the old & untouchable ownership...
Mendy
Azpi
Silva
Rudiger (they couldn't tie him down to a new deal)
James
Kante
Saul
Kenedy
Ziyech
Havertz
Mount
Took a last minute Ross Barkley winner to beat relegated Watford at home, great team & squad building from them!

This is what you wrote back in December...
