We never replaced Hazard, Costa, Matic & more... FAN VIEW: Owners losing everyone even optimists, Thiago Silva proves age is a number; he wanted Brazil return, Wake up call but they'll stay sleeping..
The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Friday 27th March 2026!
Morning all,
We’re at the weekend again! Bit of housekeeping…
It was my birthday last Sunday and the Wife bought me a night away this coming Saturday night, which is lovely! As you know, I worked on my birthday last Sunday. So as it’s an international break with very little going on, I’m going to take the Sunday as my birthday day off! I hope you all understand :) I’ll be back on the site on Monday, and I’m sure we wont miss much at the moment!
The content to see you all through until then now…
Round up all your latest general Chelsea news from across the last 24 hours in the same place here.
Replacing Eden Hazard is near impossible. But have Chelsea replaced the likes of Thiago Silva, Ashley Cole, Petr Cech, Diego Costa, and Nemanja Matic? I would say no. Words here.
Silva is out there proving that age is just a number right now, dominating the Porto back line. People have been moaning that we let him go but are forgetting that he wanted to go. I explain more in here as well as saying that I’d happily take Silva back right now in all honesty!
Matt Law says the Chelsea owners have had a wake up call recently regarding the lack of experience not just in the squad, but across the board. I agree with him, of course, but they will stay sleeping. Report here.
The FAN VIEW article will resonate with many. Our good man Matt Kirk has been spitting facts again this week. Read what he said in here, as well as my added words.
I promise to bring some more positivity next week as we look to tackle our remaining fixtures. We have to try and find some sort of optimism ahead of these games, even if it’s just to try and help the players.
See you all on Monday! I will post any big updates or anything that does go on, on the Substack App. But otherwise, site content will return on Monday morning.
Peace, Si.

Have a great weekend Si (only a day older than me - less a few years!)
I wonder if we’ll be having the same ‘trying to be positive, but getting frustrated’ conversations re our beloved Club at the end of the season?
