Xabi Alonso took the blame for Chelsea’s terrible first half against Leeds United in the week, and I say fair play to this. You can check on that and every word he said in the aftermath of that very entertaining League Cup game here.
A couple articles on the midfield now. And one player I never want to see play there again is Malo Gusto. He’s truly awful there and I don’t know why anyone can’t see that. Words on that here.
Also on the midfield, I’ve been speaking about the profile that I really think we need to add in January here. I really believe that due to how Alonso players, we need that defensive midfielder to truly screen the back four.
