A very good and realistic review of the game, and I largely concur with the scores against the doors for the players. I was particularly disappointed with Enzo’s performance.
We need to find out what is happening at halftime in the locker room. There seems to be a disconnect there. Poor 2nd half performance tells us that. Also how can players be tired? We aren’t playing that many games. I’m under the impression our training isn’t as efficient as we were told. I agree with your player assessment except Disasi who has been making a lot of costly mistakes lately in the back.
Poch litterally once again for I do not know what time, fucked up at HT and made us come out even worse. We didn’t play well at any point in the 2nd half against a team missing 4 starting defenders. Its simply not good enough.
What difference would Lampard the director make to Lampard the manager, the guy that managed us for 18 months, I love Frank and think he will be an excellent director but his playing career has no real relevance to improving our current situation at boardroom level, in my opinion
Knowing what it means to play for Chelsea is very important obviously but thats not something I would say os a decisive factor when hiring someone for this role
First thing Darren is experience, Frank has a great eye for talent but has never worked in that capacity, Edwards had been at Liverpool during a period where he transformed their squad from bang average to 3 UCL finals in 3 years, 1 PL win and 1 UCL win amongst domestic trophies all in a 6 year period
Frank would be superb in the Board room. A slick operator and a former club legend - it's the sort of appointment that Bayern or Real Madrid would make. He's also very good at spotting talent and, by all accounts, is very influential in player negotiations
Just amazed that Poch complained about the midfield being tired and then not bringing on Caseidi or having Castledine in the squad. Apart from one or two matches the "should have won that" quote rules supreme.
He is doing a lot wrong and is lucky to still be at the club but I do think he is being overly scapegoated because he is the face of it all when a lot of the issues stem to upstairs within the club

Way to generous with the rating imo.

Just written a reply to The Score Luke.
About other teams above & below us having better managers and be better teams.
You asked me who'd I'd replace Poch with.
Sorry for the delayed reply.
I'd go for Anorim with JT as his assistant.
And While we're at it ..
Sporting Director.
People keep banging on about Michael Edwards.
Why don't we appoint Frank Lampard whose forgotten more about football than ANY of the names mentioned plus those two clowns Stewart & Winstanley.
Frank never going to be a great manager , but what better person to be the face of our club and give us an identity
I love Frank and think he would be excellent in a boardroom for us, but he is incomparable to Edwards, Edwards is elite at that job
And one other thing.
We've been appointing so called elite backroom staff for nearly 2 years.
Managers & coaching teams been poor.
Signings been poor
Medical team is poor
How about going for someone who knows the club & knows what it takes to play & win the Prem.

In what way is Edwards elite compared to Frank?
Frank has a fantastic eye for players.
Knows what it means to play for Chelsea and would be a massive pull to any players wanting to join the club.
I don't see what Edwards has on him?

A no brainer Alex.
What better person than Frank.
Not as a coach or manager but as Sporting Director.
He would give us a connection with OUR club.
Something these clowns has totally misunderstood from the beginning.
Agree Alex

As far as we know Darren, there will be a review in the summer unless things worsen, personally I believe it will stay that way.
