Sources: Why outgoing deals are delayed and effect arrivals, Six days to make or break our season, Chelsea need to act serious, Sources: Coventry board backing Lampard, Jhon Duran in & Felix out?....
The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Tuesday 28th January 2025!
Morning all,
Six days left of the January transfer window. Despite the fact that January is the longest month ever and feels like a year long, we still don’t have a single done deal yet, not even for outgoings [I’m not counting the weird dry loan for Renato Veiga]. That’s shocking, truly.
We have six days to address our squad issues and add to areas we need in order to give us a genuine chance of getting Champions League football this season. We can literally make or break our season in these next six days, and I explain why and how in here.
I put out a sourced general transfer news updates on any situations going on right now yesterday morning. These situations may have moved and changed since then, as things do at this time of the window. But if you did miss it and need a recap, a sourced updates article can be found here.
Leading on from this one really and staying on the subject of Frank Lampard - he is doing a fine job at Coventry and has won four games on the bounce. We are all buzzing for him. I have some sourced info on Lampard and how things are going for him here.
Honestly, in all my years of knowing him, and I reckon it’s probably like ten years, I have never seen The Score this angry about the club he adores. Everything he is saying is absolutely spot on though and genuinely mirrors the thoughts of all of the Chelsea fans I speak to on a daily basis and those who go to games. Check out his latest venting session here. Time to listen to the fans.
The live blog was up and running yesterday as always, and this is where you will find the very latest transfer updates and rumours. Anything that is going down, you will find in this here. I put out our sourced info in this on the Joao Felix to Aston Villa links and whether Chelsea will try get Jhon Duran in return!!
Join us on the next one from around 8.30am today!
Peace, Si.

You can clearly see tbis club is screwed. They're now loaning players out merely to cover the PSR cost of the transfer fee and wages. This is going to be an ongoing theme for years to come imo. Chelsea paid stupid fees for mediocre players and won't be able to command the same fee when selling. So loans are the only option
