Sources: What Chelsea have told Ivan Toney
Blues trying to get ahead of the competition
As I’ve been reporting on here for many weeks now, Chelsea are very keen on signing Ivan Toney this January and are laying down some groundwork.
Most outlets are now reporting Chelsea’s interest in Toney at least, but we are also hearing of Arsenal’s interest.
In terms of what I know on Arsenal’s intentions - the interest is genuine, but I don’t know just how serious they are. Tottenham and Liverpool have also been linked.
Ben Jacobs reported on this site yesterday that Toney is open to joining Chelsea, as I have been reporting, and that he is keen to stay in London. So that would perhaps reduce Liverpool’s chances, if they are serious.
Chelsea ARE serious, that I do know, and I’ve been given an update by my top source on the groundwork being done.
