The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Thursday 30th April 2026!
Morning all,
Hope you’re enjoying your week so far.
There was a superb football match on earlier this week and it really gave me some hope that football might not be dead yet at the very top level. PSG vs Bayern Munich did what football was always supposed to do, it entertained fans. Words here on how Premier League levels have declined, but there is hope.
Round up all your latest Chelsea news in general from across the last 24 hours in the same place here. This will cover all your latest new manager news.
And on that subject, you would have had a sourced update on new managers from me yesterday, with two new names mentioned here.
So with Xabi Alonso now being linked as a genuine option for Chelsea by reliable sources, I have now added him to the polls. Time to vote again here people.
Chelsea are interested in signing Anthony Gordon from Newcastle United, but is that really showing the ambition that the likes of Enzo Fernandez and Cole Palmer want to see? Poll results on Gordon as well as my full opinion on whether I’d be backing this move or not here.
See you all on the next live blog from around 8.45am today on the home page!
Peace, Si.

I know it's not on the topic but I would like to wish Millie Bright all the very best for her future and to thank her for her outstanding contribution to Chelsea Ladies. She is a shining example to all young girls. Was devastated to hear she had been receiving all that abuse. Stand tall and proud Millie.
I know it's just making the best of things but in a world cup year or a euro/copa year missing out on champions league might at least let us spell a few of the stars.
I'm a fan of the young player thing but one thing you can say about the older players is they've proved their bodies are up to the stress levels.
Lampard was barely injured until towards the end of his career, Terry was fit for most of it.
But look at Gittens, and Colwill and Fofana and now Estevao, James, Lavia.
