Sources: Strasbourg 'presented' to Liam Delap, Sources: Frank Lampard making ambitious summer plans, Poll results: Cesc Fabregas is OUR man, Why Xabi Alonso is NEEDED for Chelsea, Much more.....
The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Wednesday 29th April 2026!
Morning all,
Welcome to your midweek roundup of the latest Chelsea news as we hit hump day again.
First of all, the new manager situations are what takes the headlines as is the biggest story of the moment at our club.
The SPTC community have spoken, and out of the names being linked over the last week or so, Cesc Fabregas is (magic) the main one that you all want the most. Find out what we think on other names such as Andoni Iraola, Marco Silva, Filipe Luiz, Jose Mourinho, and Frank Lampard here.
I mentioned Lampard, but right now he is busy making plans for Coventry to attack the Premier League next season. So is there any chance he could become Chelsea manager for a THIRD time? Well, get our sourced story on that here.
The Score has had his say on new managers, and he firmly wants Xabi Alonso, as I think most of us would. I didn’t include him in my polls yet because I still don’t think he’s remotely realistic (I hope I’m wrong). Score also argues for Andoni Iraola here.
I also had another sourced article out on the future of striker Liam Delap. Chelsea have ‘presented’ Strasbourg to him, but what was his response to that? Find out here.
As always, round up all of your latest Chelsea news in general from across the last 24 hours in the same place here.
See you all on the next live blog from around 8.45am today on the home page.
Peace, Si.

Sorry everyone, I've forgot to add the links! You'll have to head to the home page to see the article today. Apologies! I'll add them to the article now but you'll have to go to the website home page to click on them.
Did anyone watch PSG v Bayern last night. Now that was a real game of football rather than the turgid stuff we are too often served up with in the premiership. Side back side over and over again. Two teams trying to win a game rather than trying not to lose. I would love to know what Pedro, Fernandez and Cucuella were talking about wandering around Madrid this week. I wonder?
