It made me laugh when I saw the Valentin Barco signing being pushed as a player being ‘approved’ by Xabi Alonso.

I mean, maybe Alonso does ‘approve’ him, but the fact is, he didn’t have a choice! Barco was already signed well before Alonso was even being spoken to at Chelsea - he is a Blueco signing, not an Alonso signing, whether he likes him or not.
