Sources: PL club consider late move for Nicolas Jackson as Chelsea weigh up plans
More on striker situations
Yesterday, it was confirmed by Xabi Alonso that Nicolas Jackson will be joining Chelsea for the pre-season tour and has a chance to prove himself to the new manager.
Jackson has returned from his loan at Bayern Munich after the German club decided not to make the move permanent.
Jackson’s beef with Chelsea was more with Enzo Maresca than the club. But also, he did refuse to come back when Chelsea asked him to after an injury to Liam Delap. However, the door has remained open on both sides for Jackson to return to Chelsea.
Alonso will now assess Jackson in training and games, and then collectively make a decision with the club on what they will do with him and whether he will have a place to stay in the first team squad going forward.
