Welcome to the weekend! Chelsea play tomorrow back at Stamford Bridge in the final pre-season friendly before the Premier League kicks back off next weekend. The Blues welcome Real Sociedad for the 2pm kick off on Saturday.
Will Enzo Fernandez be playing? Well, according to Chelsea, the decision on his future needs to be made either way by 5pm on Friday. I’ve got some words on all that here. So, today is Enzo Fernandez day, and all the latest happenings on it can be seen in the blog below. But also, as you would have seen on the Substack App chat section last night, I put further updates on there. Basically, based on everything I’ve heard, he’s now VERY close to joining Manchester City. Today will conclude the story either way.

I’m getting annoyed about hearing our high valuations for players, such as £50m for Liam Delap. They need to get serious. We need to make sales. We got like 25 strikers at the club. Come on! Time is running out. Words here. If you want me to buy that Blueco hat, you got LOADS to do still.
