Hope you had a decent start to the new week. It’s Carabao Cup week for the Chels as we take on Lincoln City tonight in the 7.45pm kick off over at their ground. The home side are currently third in League One. Build up to that coming on the live blog today, and I’ll have the match report out soon after the game.

Some more reactions from the weekend now and for once, I actually agree with Jamie Carragher. You can watch the video on what he said here as well as see my reaction and give your own in the polls.
My gripes at the moment are not with Enzo Maresca. I think he’s been good since the end of last season. I still have question marks over him and he’s not immune to criticism (nobody is), but the issues for me are above him. We’ve improved a lot and nobody should take away our achievements from the end of last season, the success we had, and the good summer we had in terms of football played at least, especially off the back of just two games. That’s just daft. But my opinion on the squad build not being good enough for the amount of money we spent on it has remained consistent throughout, and those are the same issues we still have now.
