The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Friday 6th June 2025!
Morning all,
I hope you’ve had a good week away from the madness of silly season. The weekend is here!
First thing is first today, please read this here explaining why I’m not going to be around much at all this weekend. I will be the App only for updates but even then I’m only going to be able to jump on there for bits and pieces when my boy is sleeping.
You can round up all your latest Chelsea news and transfer stories from across the last 24 hours in the most updated article here. Covers it all this one, you wont miss a thing. I also had in this a big sourced updates on wingers/attacking midfielders.
I did put out my latest general transfer updates on Mike Maignan, Hugo Ekitike, Jamie Gittens, Mohammed Kudus, and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall yesterday morning that you would have seen already. But you can find that here if you missed it, although be warned that situations would have moved or changed a lot since then I am sure.
I also put my opinion out on signing (or not signing) Mike Maignan yesterday morning too. Again, things might have moved on already since then, but for me, signing Maignan for £25m is an absolute no brainer and a pay and don’t speak situation, not one that you need to look tough in negotiations for. I find it absolutely ridiculous. But let’s see what happens. Full article here.
We have Luke Rushbrook back in the building today too thankfully. He has put together some awesome player profiles of some players we have signed, and more we are linked with. This is an incredible article here and paints a real picture.
Right guys, I’ll be back on the site on Monday, but will be on the Substack App until then as and when I can be. I’m hoping for quiet in all honesty, but I very much doubt I’ll get that!
Have a good one!
Peace, Si.

I watched a 25 minute version of the france v spain game where spain scored 5 and honestly I didn't see a keeper any better than sanchez. Maybe Maingan is a lot better but I didn't see it. And when your team lets in 5 you get to see a bit.
Gittens on the other hand I don't mind. He seems to be faster than Jaden even if no stronger.
I like the idea of playing with fast skilful wingers. Chelsea playing 4:3:3 was always my style but then you didn't need a 10 because we had Lampard
