The news came out yesterday confirming that Chelsea director Laurence Stewart will soon be departing the club.
We had the drop some months back now that we had heard about plans to make some changes in the board room, but we had not been given any specific names.
Well, it appears that Stewart was one of them who would be moving on. At the time, based on some whispers, I’d actually heard that it could be Paul Winstanley moving on, with many other clubs knocking on his door with opportunities. However, so far, it has not been confirmed that he will be going anywhere, at least as of right now.
Stewart and Winstanley have gotten a lot of bad press at Chelsea, and Blues fans would be pleased in general to see both of them go.
