Time for some midfield updates

As we know, Chelsea’s priority in midfield is Moises Caicedo, but he will not be the only centre midfielder being looked at.

I’ve delivered a handful of names on the shortlist for that area over the last couple of weeks on this website, and those names stay an option.

But specifically for this sourced update, I have news on two players in particular. Amadou Onana of Everton, and Florian Wirtz of Bayer Leverkusen.

Now I know not everyone is buzzing at the prospect of potentially making a move for Onana, however, I actually like Onana and I will explain more on why if/when any move heats up. I have some interesting stats and articles to share on him. I think he’s absolutely superb defensively and is exactly the kind of profile we need to cover Enzo, and even Moises Caicedo, with both players liking to roam and providing quality in attack.
