Hope you’ve having a good week as we head towards the end of it.
A lot of stuff going on at the club now as we enter the business end of the summer transfer window. Situations to sort out, namely Enzo Fernandez. It all kicked off after I signed off last night and Chelsea put out a massive brief saying that any club has until end of Friday now to pay the £120m they want for Enzo Fernandez, or he stays.
I had the latest on Fernandez via SPTC Sources yesterday which also covers plans for new midfielders. Make sure you don’t miss that here. This was written before all that new info came out, and I’ll be updating today.
Chelsea were linked with another new midfielder this week, but we don’t expect Myles Lewis-Skelly to be joining Chelsea this window, despite their interest. You can read all about that here.

Glad this Enzo saga will be soon over before the EPL kicks off. If he goes, we frustratingly strengthen our direct rivals for this season, but i’m confident we replace Enzo in Adam Wharton and can still have a good season.
If he stays, great news. We’re a stronger team with Enzo than without, as we saw a couple of times last season through injury/suspension. Time to back him properly.
I glad they are taking a tough stance on Fernandez as City absolutely must not get him on the cheap even though I really want him to go.
