Sources: Conor Gallagher bid and player's stance
West Ham are pushing to sign the Chelsea midfielder
There was a lot of news and reports out over night regarding Conor Gallagher, so I am addressing those rumours and reporting what I know here.
The reports out last night were ridiculously contrasting, and I think it should provide us all with a good reminder not to over react to every single report that comes out on something. Because it could be agenda driven, club PR driven, or just not true at all. So let this Gallagher situation serve as a timely reminder for that. No need to over react to every report we see during a transfer window.
A fine example is that one top source, The Times, are claiming that Gallagher WANTS to leave Chelsea. Whilst another top source, The Athletic, are saying he is not pushing to leave.
And that’s before even getting into all the top sources disagreeing on whether West Ham’s bid has been rejected, how much said bid was, and whether the bid was official or verbal. There are stark differences in the reporting on this from a collection of the top sources. I’ve never seen it quite so contrasting!
But anyway, rather than scroll through what everyone else is saying, let’s focus on what is going on via what my own sources are saying, obviously sources that I trust.
