Welcome to another weekend people! Chelsea play away to Bournemouth this Saturday in the 3pm kick off and after our defeat to Leeds this week, it’s safe to say that we need to get the win tomorrow.
Enzo Maresca didn’t take any responsibility for the Leeds defeat in the aftermath of the game, which I found a shame really. It wasn’t just on the players. His full words can be found here.
John Terry didn’t hold back though, and he was fuming after this one. He knows what the history of this fixture means and he knows that going to Leeds was never going to be easy and they needed to be fully up for it. Terry’s reactions here.
Cole Palmer was actually down to START against Leeds this week but he only ended up coming on after 60 minutes. I have a sourced report on that here.
Gary Cahill, and many others, were saying just this week that Chelsea do not need to upgrade their centre backs. I am hoping those people all watched on against Leeds and saw the light on this! Because we absolutely DO need to upgrade our centre backs! Words on that as well as why I have encouraged realism this week in here. We have never been ‘there’ yet and I’ve said we need to expect big ups and big downs still.
