Benjamin Sesko nach seinem Treffer gegen Union Berlin

As we start to think about the summer arriving in the near future, it’s time to take an early look at Chelsea’s plans for the transfer window via a collection of sources I have been in touch with this week.

There is a lot of rumours going around regarding Chelsea’s FFP and profit and sustainability compliance, and whether they can do much in the upcoming market or not.

Chelsea did no business at all in January other than loan moves, but I understand this was as a result of the right opportunities and profiles simply not being available or attainable at a decent price, and the decision makers being reluctant to do anything that they saw as ‘panic buying’.

In the end, they believe/believed they had enough in the squad to see it out until the summer and reassess then.

As others have reported, industry insiders are hearing that Chelsea are confident that they have remained compliant with FFP and are on top of any financial rules.
