Chelsea have been in love with Alex Scott for some time now, long before the massive hype around him began.
As reported by many other sources as well now, following us at the time, Chelsea tried with some offers to sign Scott in the summer transfer window - but it would have took an offer believed to be around £90m-£100m, possibly even a bit more, for Bournemouth to allow Scott to leave in the summer. At that time, Chelsea were offering around £65m for Scott, which was not enough.
They were speaking with Bournemouth about the move a lot in the summer, and have laid down all the groundwork around the move.
