Sources: Chelsea will make decision on new striker soon

Discussions are ongoing and a 'new name' is being scouted

I’ve been asked again about the chances of a new striker arriving in January and also, some outlets have been reporting that Chelsea will still be signing one.

So I have checked in with sources to find out what the latest thinking is with the new striker.

SPTC sources have said that Chelsea are certainly still discussing bringing in a new striker despite the form of Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku.

However, this does not mean that we will definitely sign one in January. Victor Osimhen was told we would come back for him in January or the summer, but nothing is set in stone there either and it depends on many other aspects and not just the money involved to land him.
