I went to the game on Saturday and England should have won, they played very well in spells and looked like a good team, remember they played the World Champions and they would have won if not for moronic defending, which a manager as we know, cannot legislate for! Then the once ultra relatable penalty taker, once again did not require a goalkeeper to save it!

As a Chelsea fan I have always wanted to see our homegrown players representing England. Cole Palmer has the right to decide if he wants to represent England. If he is sulking due to not being picked for The World Cup squad then that’s another matter. His performance last season, injury hit I know, but often were not good enough even to play for Chelsea let alone England. I will accept that considering some players Tuchel selected in the squad didn’t get a game. If Palmer doesn’t want to play then he should retire from International Football that’s his choice, but don’t play games! I am sure he is enjoying his holiday and ultimately benefit Chelsea!

As a England supporter, I would create a rule that any player who withdraws from the Squad , I don’t include players with broken bones or chronic conditions , should be assessed by a Independent Dr,if proven that the injury did not warrant withdrawal then the player has to miss the equivalent number of Premier League games as the missed international ones.

Remember if this was in place Declan Rice and other players of title Contenders could benefit us as well! Just a thought.
