Sources: Chelsea come from nowhere for Granit Xhaka but Sunderland hold firm

You have to admire the surprise

I’ll speak more about this one in terms of my opinion on it in another article today, so I’ll leave this one just for info and what we understand to be happening on it.

But Chelsea’s attempts to sign Granit Xhaka from Sunderland this transfer window has come from nowhere. Not one outlet or reporter had even reported Chelsea interest before it emerged yesterday that the Blues were trying to sign the former Arsenal midfielder. So you do have to admire Chelsea here for managing to keep that under wraps.

I didn’t speak on it yesterday because I was waiting to correlate info before I put anything out.
