Chelsea are still trying to get two new deals done today before the transfer window closes at 7pm tonight.
The summer window of course reopens again on June the 16th, but today is the final time for clubs to get deals done for the Club World Cup.
Enzo Maresca asked the club for new signings to come in for the CWC, and Chelsea have been working on bringing three in for him. Liam Delap is obviously in, and Chelsea have been trying to get a new goalkeeper, winger, and a centre back as well.
Some of this is now going to have to wait until the second window, although it’s now been confirmed that Mamadou Sarr arrived as a new Chelsea player yesterday, and he will be going to the CWC as a new defender option as they look to make a decision on his immediate future for next season.
