The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Thursday 24th July 2025!
Morning all,
A couple of sourced transfer articles to kick things off today as noise increases around potential departures of Ben Chilwell and Nicolas Jackson.
First of all, Burnley have made an enquiry for Chilwell this week, and you can grab the full inside story on that one here. Chilwell also has other clubs interested.
Nicolas Jackson could still very much depart Chelsea this summer despite the club putting a large valuation on his head. He could also still stay. However, it’s his preference to leave, and we explain why and drop the full story on his future and whether we will replace him via our sources here.
Xavi Simons of course is the talk of the week as Chelsea look to try and get this deal done. The media have still been very behind on this one as always, but it’s moving. You can see part two of our ‘where will he play?’ articles here which also has an excellent tactical video attached as well as some of the latest news on this story.
Football often goes in circles. And I believe/hope it will go in another one soon. I want to see football full of maverick players again. Both John Terry and former player Adel Taarabt have both said they are bored of watching modern football and they are not alone and also make some very good points in here. It’s how football has developed and teams want to keep the ball with caution. I get it but don’t necessarily enjoy it.

See you on the next live blog at around 8.30am today!
Peace, Si.

Jackson prefers to leave 🙌🙏🤞
