Plans are plans. Sometimes they come off, other times they do not. But even still, I think we could see a big few weeks in the final month of the transfer window. Some surprises maybe even get thrown out. Remember, not one media outlet or reporter had anything at all on Chelsea signing Jordan Henderson or Danny Welbeck (we had some info on Welbeck of course before it came out but nothing on Henderson). My point is, Chelsea tell the media stuff, it might not always be correct, it might be PR. Sometimes, they don’t tell them anything at all and a Henderson signing comes from nowhere. Not everything will be out there.

I expect the midfield to be sorted by the time the window ends, and when I say sorted, I mean more than a 36-year-old midfielder and a 5ft 7in lad signed just to stop him going to another club.
