I spoke yesterday around Chelsea possibly having a new target that they are either looking in to, or even making a move on.
They are trying to remain quiet in the window, especially around new midfielders. Chelsea were annoyed that their offer for Alex Scott became so public and feel it might have hindered that move. However, Scott could still be on the cards, and there is Adam Wharton too, who Chelsea have recently spoken with Crystal Palace about. Either could absolutely still happen, and I’m still not ruling out the initial plans of going for both.
But after speaking with sources early this week, there is potentially something else going on as well, and a potential target being moved on, one that hasn’t been spoken about at all yet.
