We’ve arrived at Christmas week, one of my favourite weeks of the year! Chelsea play on Saturday with a home match against Aston Villa, with the traditional Boxing Day full fixture list being scrapped.
We failed to beat Newcastle on Saturday afternoon and as a result, have won just one of our last five league games. The form is not good enough. Get my thoughts on the game and full reactions here.

Further reactions from me after comments made by Enzo Maresca once again about the lack of experience in his squad. We all know it’s been a big issue and is just common sense, but Maresca has said it publicly yet again here.
It’s been the battle of the briefs this week, with Maresca holding it firm and standing his ground all week. Chelsea have seemingly returned with their own briefing, I assume. And it’s all gotten quite messy in what is a very tense situation. Read all about that here.
