Newcastle 2 Chelsea 0, New striker search - Updates, Chelsea Women's dominating season concluded, Summer market activity brings anxiety, Blues News Report, Much more....
The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Monday 12th May 2025!
Morning all,
Hope you’ve all had a decent weekend whatever it is you may have gotten up to. We had a nice family day Saturday at a local festival and then of course it was the big game yesterday in the early kick off a noon.
Chelsea lost 2-0 to Newcastle after a terrible first half from The Blues and then a sending off for Nicolas Jackson.
You can grab my debrief, ratings, and conclusion in my Newcastle review article here.
And then to get the reactions of Enzo Maresca, some of the players, and much more, head to my Blues News Report that also covers all the latest Chelsea news from Sunday here.
A lot of people have been asking me about the new striker search, which has gone a little quiet for now. But fear not, it wont stay quiet, far from it, and I have my latest words and updates on that here.
Speaking of the summer market, I’ve highlighted a comment made on X over the weekend about Chelsea getting Champions League football. The point made was that it doesn’t matter if Chelsea get UCL or not, if they are still not going to be recruiting ‘elite’ players, I guess, is what I took from it. Give your opinion on the quote after reading it here, as well as hearing mine.
Chelsea Women’s have absolutely stormed and dominated English football this season, their achievements are truly remarkable. They have not lost a single game in the league and only drawn 3. You can read some comments on their success here as I offer some major flowers to everyone involved in that side of our club.
See you all on the next live blog from around 8.30am today.
Peace, Si.

I certainly would have taken a draw at Newcastle but they absolutely blew us away for 25 minutes. I knew what Newcastle would do so why did they look surprised and unprepared for it. Running around is not enough to make you a top striker and there is an attitude problem. A really good back up striker and wide attacker. If we can’t get a win against what is a very poor Utd team we deserve nothing. I have been watching football long enough to know old players can come back to haunt us.
Morning Si - we all had us down to lose yesterday in our run in before it started, so us having to win our final 2 games changes nothing. I'm fairly optimistic that results elsewhere will help us, but I fully believe we will beat the pressure and win our last 2 games.
