Maybe we 'demand urgency' because you've spent over £1bn and signed 42 players? "Board continues to act as if it is building for the future" Too much petulance, Taking responsibility, News roundups...
The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Tuesday 3rd March 2026!
Morning all,
We are in midweek action again this week, away to Aston Villa in our next Premier League game. It’s another big one, and we simply HAVE to win it, no two ways about it.
I had a few ranty articles out yesterday because I’ve been left annoyed by a few things and some comments lately.
The first one is on what Todd Boehly said over the weekend about Chelsea fans ‘demanding urgency’. I mean, is it really that unrealistic to expect more now after the amount of players they have signed and the amount of money they have spent on them? I don’t think so. Read my reactions to that here.
The next one is sort of connected to this as well, because it is Chelsea proving Jamie Carragher right once again. Damn. Carragher says the Chelsea board are still acting as if they are building everything for the future, and they are! Words here.
I’ve also been left annoyed with our disciplinary issues. I really don’t like the petulance and immaturity that I see from some of our players. A Ref isn’t going to change his mind on a decision just because you spit your dummy into his face. Words here.
I was pleased to see Trevoh Chalobah, Liam Rosenior, and Reece James take responsibility after the Arsenal defeat, rather than draw in on any excuses. Their reactions and my reactions here.
As always, round up all of your latest general Chelsea news from across the last 24 hours in the same place here.
See you all on the next live blog from around 8.45am today on the home page.
Peace, Si.
