Maresca’s first good call
The Olympics is too late in the calendar and will hinder our pre season massively
Good Evening Ladies & Gents,
I am really impressed with how firm Maresca and Chelsea have been with Olympic teams and countries.
We play Wrexham in pre season on the 24th July with the Olympics starting on the 26th, finishing 16 days later and only 6 days before to the start of the new Premier League season.
Enzo Maresca needs as many days on the training pitch and with his full squad as possible. It takes time to implement his style and get his ideas across.
Keeping the likes of Enzo Fernandez, Mylhailo Mudryk, Benoit Badiashile and Malo Gusto behind and with the squad for pre season is a good idea. Whilst also having to wait for the remaining internationals to return after the European Championships and Copa America.
If any of our players go to the final of each tournament the. They will only finish 10 days before we play our first game in the USA and probably just a week before we fly to the US.
Thanks for reading

I cant wait to hear how they all get on with the positional homework on an ipad,
Seen it done in groups where you pair up, See Silva do it but he has a wealth of knowledge to lean on, some will need help 1 on 1, after all they are not doing badges
A shame about Olise then. If we goes Olympics wanted to watch him in pre-season. Could we block him if he signs with us?
