Liverpool 2 Chelsea 1, EXCL: Barcelona want Chelsea midfielders, Chelsea keen on Araujo's (two of them), Chelsea would LOVE to sign Isak (of course), Maresca's dedication to football, More...
The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Monday 21st October 2024!
Morning all,
I hope you all enjoyed your weekend whatever you got up to, and those in the UK didn’t get too effected by the storm that passed over on Sunday.
I watched some local football on Saturday as my game was rained off. Always really enjoy watching football at that level. It was Frome Town vs Poole Town with an attendance of 520. Poole won 3-2 with a late goal in an exciting game.
Back to Chelsea now, who were in action yesterday against Liverpool in the Premier League. We lost 2-1 away to Liverpool and of course it’s frustrating and sad to lose a game. But we certainly showed up at least yesterday, which is what I asked for at the start of the game.
You can read my thoughts, debrief, manager/player ratings, and conclusion in here.
I picked up Enzo Maresca’s post-match words in the Blues News Report from Sunday in here, as well as covering all the rest of your general Chelsea news from yesterday in the same place.
I also had an exclusive article out yesterday speaking on some transfer situations with Barcelona. They have interest in a few of our players, and we are still closely watching one of theirs. Also, there is another random name in here that Chelsea like, a lad from Benfica. Read all about that and get the full drop on it here.
There was some comments from Enzo Maresca before the Liverpool game that really shows his dedication and the hard work he has been prepared to put in to make it as a football manager at a top club. He’s certainly put the hours in, and you can read all about that in here.
Finally, Chelsea were linked with Alexander Isak in the summer. But is there any chance at all that he would end up at Chelsea? Well, one former Arsenal player hopes that he will end up there, or at Arsenal or Manchester City, in latest comments in here. I also speak about our interest in Isak in this and the general situation.
Luke put his Loan Army Report out on Saturday in the end rather than Friday, but the top chap did let us all know about the delay on the Substack App. You can read that in here as bonus content for today. Look out for some scouting reports from Luke this week too; he watched the Ipswich vs Everton game at the weekend!
Right, see you all on the live blog from around 8.30am today!
Peace, Si.
