Morning all,
Just a couple days away from Chelsea returning now, and we will start to preview the game more today and look ahead to what to expect.
Round up all of your latest general Chelsea news from across the last 24 hours in the same place here. This covers all you need to know. In this, we cover the news of sporting director Laurence Stewart departing the club - I’ll have a sourced article out on this today with the overall outlook and what to expect now!
Morgan Rogers started for England earlier this week and helped them get a 3-0 win over Czech Republic, grabbing an assist for Harry Kane. Rogers was disappointed with how Thomas Tuchel reacted to one of his passes though. Read about that and what was done and said here.
I also speak more generally about Rogers so far this season in a Chelsea and England shirt here, covering some stats and opinion.
Then more on Kane. He is actually my shout for the Ballon d’Or this year and in fact, I don’t even think it should be a debate at this point. His form is just insane, and he’s been such an incredible player for a long time now. Words here.
And speaking about incredible players, Lionel Messi is the best player to ever play this sport, hands down. It’s another opinion that I personally don’t even see as a debate. He retired from international football this week, and I know it’s not Chelsea related content, but I just had to mark that here.
See you all on the next Live blog from around 8.45am today on the home page people as we start building up to Saturday!
Peace, Si.
