Really good piece thanks. There is always a balance between ability and mentality. He has plenty of one and not enough of the other. The squad is far too big and other player in the position he plays is just not needed.

Felix reminds me of one of my first girlfriends. Incredibly comfortable on the eye, but in the end she left me disappointed and frustrated, she promised so much but delivered so little. His final output was so disappointing in his first spell. I used to listen to pundits creaming themselves over his performances and at the end of the game I used to think what did the guy actually produce, not a lot apart from a few silky runs that ended up with us losing the ball and poor finishing.

I think if Felix comes in with little guarantees and has to earn everything it could be beneficial in the long run! But I definitely see where you are coming from.
Mark, I'll def remember your words. You just described Felix in the softest way possible. This guy is already so far from a decent player, not to mention ELITE. Atletico just don't want to let him go for free since he appears the last chance to raise money for Alvarez.
However, our lovely club is always there to make the best deal of their lives and to grab the opportunity to jack things up even more.
Would be one of the stupidest moves we’ve made since Clearlake came in and that’s saying something. We have enough players that are his profile. It just stinks of being told what to do by a super agent and once again proves there’s no plan of what we want to achieve. Once again will prove we’re ran by a bunch of clowns
Yeah I agree the optics in that aspect are poor, but think this article presented a convincing argument that this very well could be a net positive, maybe by a wide margin, too. Let's not act like Samu is the Osimhen of 2 years ago...
