The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Monday 21st April 2025!
Morning all,
Hope you all had a good weekend whatever you got up to and are enjoying a nice Easter break if you’re lucky enough to have it.
Chelsea were in Premier League action yesterday afternoon making the very short journey to neighbours Fulham.
Chelsea were Chelsea and for 80 minutes it wasn’t great at all, far from it. Fans turned toxic again and were chanting for Roman Abramovich and Frank Lampard, and some were even swearing at head coach Enzo Maresca when he walked off at half time. But a late come back and two unreal goals from individual brilliance saw us live to fight another day in the race for Champions League qualification.
You can grab my after match thoughts, ratings, debrief, conclusion and more here.
You can get the reactions of Enzo Maresca and others here, as well as going through all the rest of the general Chelsea news from Sunday before and after the game.
I pumped out some content before the game as well. One would have landed in your emails and is a big read from me. I had some thoughts, so I wanted to get them down. I think Chelsea can be fixed. The project for me is failing and needs to be tweaked. Not changed, but tweaked. Although there is quite a bit to do. I detail it all here.
Some transfer news and other bits and pieces that I needed to address before the game too. There has been some news come out about some of the players being unhappy with the roles they are playing in, and as you will know, we already reported that here last week. I have added to that now here as well as address the rest of these insider rumours that are all true.
David Ornstein of The Athletic also put a bunch of transfer news and other bits out over the weekend. I have detailed that here as well as put out what our sources have been saying on it.
See you all on the next live blog from around 8.30am today.
Peace, Si
