Right, that’s all the summer international tournaments over with now, back to the mighty Chels!
Things should and will step up now as we approach our first pre-season game of the season in just 9 days time now. So it’s time to switch up, refocus, and get the game faces on ahead of a new season. It’s clean slate time, and anything and everything is possible. Read much more on all of that and my expectations for the rest of the transfer window in here.
It’s also a big season ahead for Copa America champion Enzo Fernandez. Enzo has had his issues since arriving at Chelsea in January 2023. He’s played through injury, played out of position, and arrived at the club during a bit of a turmoil period. Now is the time for him to step up, and I truly believe he will. Get my full thoughts on that in here.
Before we completely switch that focus back to Chelsea, my final words on Gareth Southgate and England after they lost in the Euros final. As an England fan, the time for Southgate to go should have been a long time ago. But now, he truly must leave (should have been sacked). The time has come. I’ve written this here with Cole Palmer in mind too, just to keep it Chelsea orientated of course!
