Either signing have the potential to be a good fit as one person doesn’t make a team by themself it’s how they blend into the team.
Tonight England vs Netherlands I’d like to see Toney start as it gives him a chance to showcase his talents and Kane looks 2 yards of the pace and isn’t making the runs into the box he used to.
Too often we’ve seen passes come through the box and Kane hasn’t moved I need to know if Toney would change that.
Would consider going for both especially considering that it’s imperative to have CL participation next season - we need the option and seasoned competition for our existing players would help them to up their gane
I was speaking to a friend of mine who supports Juve about Chiesa, and it definitely still sounds like a gamble.
He basically said that Chiesa has definitely underperformed this season, but many Juve fans feel that Allegri "destroyed his role as winger", and that he'd shine with the right teammates next to him.
Personally I think he'll stay in Italy, but we'll see. Can see him having a Dybala sort of comeback if he finds the right team.
As for Toney, I'd like it. He adds something different, but honestly I still want to see Jackson lead the line this season. Think he'll kick on over the next couple of years.
Love both these signings in a vacuum, but I do have a couple concerns.
Would Chiesa sign up for no CL football? Would his wage demands be too high? Would it be worth blocking Mudryk and Noni’s growth?
Same concerns for Toney. He’s a beast! But his also in his big payday window. Would be sign for a salary that wouldn’t upset the rest of the dressing room? And is it worth blocking Jackson who’s one of the rising stars?
COMPLETELY AGREE WITH THIS!!! I was thinking exactly the same. Chiesa is super high potential return and has ability to beat man 1 v 1 unlike anybody in our team (apart from Palmer and maybe Noni occasionally). Toney is a no-brainer for 40 mil. Gives us diff option up front without losing good link up play and still having top finishing (also good friends with Palmer)

I guess the issue could be wages for both of them. Chiesa presently earns €10m a year whereas Toney will be asking for over £200k a week.
Think chiesa has an offer from Roma but wants to take his time about deciding his future

Since when was Chiesa available for $20M? There’s no way anyone is buying him for that cheap.
Check fabrizio Romano posts about him, it’s a fact
