Fan View: I was huge backer of project until summer, Fan View 2: Owners warped my perception of football, Brighton preview, Malo Gusto: We played like kids, Focus now onto Saturday, Much more....
The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Friday 26th September 2025!
Morning all,
We can now turn our attentions to Saturday as we prepare to take on Brighton at home in the Premier League. We can soon forget about the Lincoln and Manchester United games and make a statement this weekend. It’s a chance to bounce back, a chance to show we are still here and we are Chelsea ready to challenge.
It feels like a crucial game this one, and at a crucial moment. We need to go out there and give all we have to get all three points in front of the fans. I have a bit of a preview article for the game here.
Even though attentions are turning to the weekend now for us all, the recent games and performances are still playing on our minds. I have two Fan View articles now but written by myself. I saw two comments that really stood out to me this week in our community for many reasons.
Billy, who had been very pro-ownership and pro-project for some time, is now changing his opinion. Read his comments here on how he was a huge backer of the project until the summer just passed. Really intriguing turn around this and one that should really concern the owners and board room at our club.
And the second fan view, which was actually the comment that Billy was responding to, is from one of those I respect a lot on here, Matt Kirk. He is always very balanced, and he’s been very honest in explaining why the ownership has warped his perception of football and how it’s really ruining it for him. I don’t think many can disagree with this here.
And finally, moving into our attentions turning to the Brighton game and moving on from this week and last weekend, Malo Gusto has reacted in the way I want to see, finally. He’s admitted that the team played like kids this week and and explains that players must prove they are good enough to play for Chelsea. Let’s do that this Saturday, lads. Full words and opinion here.
Grab all of your latest general Chelsea news from across the last 24 hours in the same place here. This was packed full of content yesterday!
Have a great weekend all and let’s hope Chelsea can make it better for us all by bouncing back in the best possible way. I’ll be on the Substack App for the live discussion thread for the game Saturday, and I’ll be back on the site on Sunday.
COME ON CHELSEA!!!
Peace, Si.

I have just watched Maresca’s press conference and I can’t see when we might win another game. Apparently the goalkeepers are brilliant we all know they are not. Fofana is out again this with concussion so we are told.
