It was a good weekend for football and for Chelsea as a last gasp Estevao Willian goal saw us beat the League Champions Liverpool on Saturday night in what was an incredible result and good performance by The Blues.

Chelsea needed that bounce back and they have provided it in the last two games with two strong results. Plenty of talking points to go through in my match review here along with the player ratings.

Last week I wrote an article explaining why I believed Moises Caicedo to be a better all round player than N’Golo Kante, focused around it being a massive compliment to Caicedo rather than any disrespect to Kante. One of the reasons I explained was emphasised in Chelsea’s win against Liverpool! More on that here.

Whilst I got that one right (in my opinion), my assumption on Marc Guiu was wrong from last week, and it’s important for me to acknowledge that as well. It turns out we aren’t trying to loan him in January by not letting him play a single minute unless of emergencies, because he came on in the Liverpool win! An acknowledgement here.
