My one concern is still our fragility in defence, not just Sanchez. It might be that as long as we score more goals than the opposition then its fine, but against teams like Gent, it still concerns me we are not keeping clean sheets. On paper the players should be more solid than they seem to be in reality. Did you pick up any thoughts re squad tweaking to improve this?

Well, a great opportunity Danny and superbly reported on. Very interesting reading for all of us with that unique insight that you were able to obtain. I think the clear message that comes from your article is that all of us need to give all of the participants time and let the project work itself out before we start making decisions positively or negatively. Perhaps over the next season/season and a half we will be in a much better position to make concrete decisions on where are views sit, remembering that this was always a 10 year project.

Yeah I agree. They now need to be tactful and add to the squad in key areas instead of so many players in. Based off marescas comments a few weeks ago I believe that will be the case

Mainly just that Goykeres is certainly in great form and a good player. I think it’s down the Jackson and the GK’s to stake there claim for the role or risk being replaced either fully or in the pecking order(this is more of an assumption that info)
It’s interesting to know that they genuinely take the time to check out forums etc to get a feel for fan opinions and perspectives. I already knew that Danny F did as I’ve had a bit of engagement with him through Twitter/X but if others in the club hierarchy also do then that’s great. They must have thick skin sometimes though 🤣
What an experience! Really happy for you. As a fan from outside of the UK, I can only imagine what to must have been like to be at the bridge. I’m surprised too at how accessible everyone was in the director’s box.
