Morning all,
Welcome to another Thursday Chelsea match day! I really hope this is the only season we play on Thursday’s for a while! The Blues face Gent in the Europa Conference League this evening in the new competition setup. I have explained all of that and detailed the format, as well as looked at our opposition and how Chelsea might setup in here to kick things off today.
I’ll have the live match discussion thread on the Substack App chat section for you all to debate and chat along during the game. And I’ll have my match review out on this site soon after the final whistle tonight.
We will also have a Podcast out today. We have got our team member Danny Windsor on the show again, and below you will see why (other than he’s a great guest).
Danny was in the Chelsea directors box on Saturday to witness the Brighton win, and he met some VERY important people at the club and has come away with some great insights, opinion, and info as a result. He has put a lot of it in his exclusive article for our site in here. But he has some more bits and more detail to put out on the Podcast later today, so do look out for that. This content is all super interesting as SPTC meets some Chelsea board members once again :)
I also had a pretty big exclusive sourced article out yesterday as well. This is on a new striker name that Chelsea are looking at and stepping up scouting on THIS season. Clue, it’s a Premier League player. To find out who it is and the full details on that, as well as Chelsea’s clear plans now for a new striker, you’ll have to check in here.
It’s always great to hear from Chelsea legend Frank Lampard, who still seems to be very much involved with the owners and speaks to them a lot. Super Frank believes Chelsea can now challenge for the top four, and you can find out all about that and read all his latest words in here.
