Chelsea’s season has been somewhat inconsistent so far, and that is being very kind with my choice of words.
Whilst there has been some improvements with some performances, other results and performances have simply been embarrassing and far from good enough.
It is true that the pressure has once again ramped up on Mauricio Pochettino after they threw away an ideal opportunity to win a trophy on Sunday.
This isn’t the first time he has been under significant pressure though. After the Wolves defeat recently, one member of the Chelsea hierarchy wanted to pull the plug on him there and then. But any decision at Chelsea these days must be signed off collectively from the decision makers, and this wasn’t signed off at the time.
