The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Wednesday 10th July 2024!
Morning all,
The Euros climax is almost here, and we have England vs Netherlands tonight as the second semi-final after last night’s big game! Come on England!!
Meanwhile, massive congratulations to Marc Cucurella for reaching the Euros final with Spain and having an overall top campaign so far, and to Enzo Fernandez for reaching Copa America final with Argentina!
Back to domestic football, and pre-season is well under way. Chelsea have their first game very soon in just over two weeks, and the hard work has well and truly began at Cobham this week.
First of all, I have a sourced inside story on some snippets on what has been going on behind the scenes of Enzo Maresca’s first training session with his almost full group of players. Some interest info on that in here.
After that, I’d head to the latest live blog from yesterday in here, which covers all the main Chelsea news and transfer rumours from across the last 24 hours. This has any other new bits of sourced news, and the latest updated general news.
Wesley Fofana was back in full training this week, as we reported he would be many weeks back now. It was great to see him back and I think if he can stay fit, he will be super important for us this season. I also think he can form a great centre back pairing with one player. I mention who that is and how important it is to get a regular centre back pairing in here.
Onto the new winger pursuit now, and there has been some confusing and contrasting information going around about this. I don’t even think Chelsea really know what type of winger they want yet and are still pondering it. I have updates and opinion on all that in here.
Luke is up next to round things up. It’s an intriguing one from him for sure as he debates whether Federico Chiesa should be a Chelsea target this summer. It’s an interesting shout for sure, and you can read that in full in here.
Thanks for stopping by! See you all on the next live blog from around 8.30am today!
Peace, Si.
